Service Description

Depending on your surgeon’s recommendation, Post-Op massages may be started as early as the first week after surgery. Lymphatic Drainage is a type of treatment focusing on the lymph system to remove waste in the body and simultaneously help sculpt your figure. The reality is Liposuction surgery usually creates pooling of excess lymphatic fluids between the skin and space where the fat was suctioned. This results in swelling and can likely cause lumps, bumps and fibrosis leaving patients dissatisfied with their plastic surgery results. Lymphatic Drainage Massage (LDM) is a specialized massage technique that is recommended by plastic surgeons, after liposuction, to accelerate the recovery period. The science behind why this massage works is fairly simple. Stroking the areas of the body that process the lymph fluid, and the lymph nodes, causes the fluid to drain through your body’s natural waste disposal system. Your treatment will be done under infrared light and your specialist may incorporate wood sculpting into your massage. This treatment has been demonstrated to be just as important as the surgery itself in achieving positive results only after a couple of massage treatments! Most patients need 4 to 10 LDM treatments to remove most of the excess fluid and numbing fluid in their body. Patients can expect relief from stiffness and pain after the first treatment and relief from swelling after the first few treatments. *Most clients describe the initial massage as the most uncomfortable session. However, our licensed specialists understand the healing process and the first massage is usually less intense in order to get our clients acclimated to the treatments. *It is recommended clients take pain meds prescribed by your surgeon at least an hour prior to appointment time. **Please do not drive while taking medications that may cause drowsiness.

Cancellation Policy

Minimum 24 hours notice required for cancellation/rescheduling. If you fail to cancel/reschedule 24 hours prior to start of service booking deposit WILL be forfeited. Please call if arriving late. Clients arriving more than 10 minutes late may be asked to reschedule and booking deposit WILL be forfeited.
